It is what has been said for years but did we see that yesterday?
We got done at set pieces, long balls and not keeping the ball ourselves, I think. The headers won were 30-14 but we did out dribble them.
Watford have been playing two upfront, so the midfield might not be the problem again. It might be Deeney again.

I'd take out Johnson and put fornals on the bench, or snodgrass.
Starting 11 looks the best we can do tho. With Pellegrini's formation.

Well we may as well have a go at suggesting a team as our manager hasn't a fucking clue. Bit worrying when he picks Cresswell as captain in the first game then leave him out altogether in the next. Snodgrass starts, Balbuena dropped. I always thought pre season was when you tried out players and systems to find the right gel not actual premier league games. Woeful start to the season, AGAIN. What's the excuse this time round

Most of the team picks itself now, it's just which three ineffective show ponies we sprinkle around behind Haller.
Lanzini, Antonio and Anderson probably. Fornals, Yarmolenko on the bench. Not sure I'd even bother putting Wilshere on the bench.

Two games in and neither performance has given grounds for optimism. The first shot on target on Saturday was our 60 th something minute goal. Is slow starting to a season becoming part of the West Ham way?

That was our first point in August since the first year in the London Stadium (2016) and that year we then lost 3 league (5 in all) games in row.

What is everyones thoughts on playing Zaba - he brings that additional leadership quality to the backline that has been missing.... at least with Noble and Zaba we have some leaders there...

Manuel, I reckon that’s about accurate. Hopefully Fornals will adjust to the English game over the next few months, but let’s be honest, we didn’t exactly set the transfer market alight with our ambition.
Hopefully we won’t have the sort of back luck we had last season with injuries, so there’s a good chance that we’ll finish higher than tenth, but other than that, we’re about the same as last season.
